 Hyundai Creta #TheultimateSUV

Today in this blog we are going to talk about a hot-selling mid-size SUV the Hyundai Creta. Hyundai is known for its feature list and the same is the case with the Hyundai Creta. It was launched way back in 2014 in the international market by the name ix25. However, India got to see Creta on the road in July 2015.
The second-generation Creta was launched in India on 6 of February in the Auto-Expo. The all-new Creta competes against the Kia Seltos, MG Hector. Creta is priced at 9.99 lakh to 17.70 lakh Ex-showroom.

Engine and Transmission

All New Creta is offered in 3 engine options, namely the 1.5ltr MPI petrol engine which produces 115ps of power, the 1.5 U2 CRDI diesel engine - produces 115ps of power and the 1.4 Kappa turbo petrol engine which produces 140ps of power.

Now talking about the transmission the Creta gets three transmission options - the DCT, the IVT/ CVT, and the Manual. So as a consumer we have a lot of options to choose from.
If you are a performance-oriented driver but are in search of an automatic gearbox you can choose the DCT gearbox. However, if you are keen on the mileage part you can choose the Manual or the IVT gearbox.

Exterior

The design of the Creta is very modern. Many people love the design and many of them hate it. Creta gets 1st in the segment Twin Tip exhaust. In addition, it gets long bonnet Muscular crease lines that add to the muscular look of the SUV. You also get to see the Front Skidplate and to make the SUV stand out you get to see the Lightning Arch-C pillar. Chrome adds to the car's premium feel, so we get Chrome door handles in the top variant.

 Interior

Hyundai is known for its posh interiors, Creta is no exception. Creta gets a dual-tone interior with dual options to choose from the first being the "All black interiors with Orange color pack" and secondly the Black and Greige interiors. So when you enter the cabin, you will feel as if you are in an upmarket car. If talking about the features you get the Blue link connectivity, which can be used to open the huge Panoramic sunroof.

Now talking about the comfort features inside the beast, you will get to see the wireless charge, rear center armrest with cupholders, cooled glove box, Rear window sunshade, Rear seat headrest cushion, Leather Wrapped D-cut steering wheels, Rear USB charger, and Front row Ventilation seat.

Dimensions and wheels

Creta is 4300mm long and 1790mm wide. Creta is as high as 1635mm and it has an overall wheelbase of 2610mm.
In the base variant the E and the EX, you will get the old-fashioned plastic wheel cover, followed by the S variant gets the black steels wheels, but the top end gets the proper diamond-cut alloy wheels.

Safety

The safety of the car cannot be talked about as it is not yet crash-tested for the Global NCAP. However, the Creta and the KIA's Seltos, share the same platform, by using which the Seltos has scored 3 stars in the Global NCAP.

However, it gets a lot of safety features - Six airbags, with a strong body structure with AHSS, Vehicle stability management, Electronic Stability Control, Hill Assist Control, Rear Camera with Dynamic Guidelines, Rear Disk brakes, Burglar alarm, Emergency stop signal, Seat Belt Pretensioner with load limiter.

Conclusion

So if you are in a search of a reliable and stylish SUV you can go with the Creta. However, you should avoid buying the E and the EX variant as you can invest the same money in the compact-SUV segment. I would suggest you buy the S, SX, SX(O) variants instead.
