Hyundai Venue - India's first connected SUV
So, as the title says, we are going to talk about the Hyundai Venue. Hyundai Venue is a sub-compact SUV. Venue competes against the Maruti Brezza, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 300, Kia Sonet, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, Ford Ecosport, and the Honda WR-V. Hyundai Venue is India's first connected SUV and also the first car which was launched with "IMT" transmission, so what is this IMT, go and check this link to get more information <https://spinningwheelss.blogspot.com/2021/07/5-types-of-automatic-cars-that-you.html>.
Suspension, stirring, and Braking
If talking about the suspension the setup is quite stiff so it is good for highways as well as offroad conditions. The front suspension is the McPherson Strut with Coil Spring and the rear one is the Coupled Torsion Beam Axle with Coil Spring. You get to see the electric tilt steering which offers good handling. You get to see a Disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the rear which offers good breaking performance.
Engine and Transmission
Hyundai Venue comes with three engine options - from which the Turbo GDI is the recommended one with this car. The 1.0 ltr turbo petrol engine produces 120 ps/6000rpm which is a lot of power for a compact SUV, however not everyone has a budget to buy this one, so you can go with the 1.2 kappa MPI petrol, which produces 83 ps/6000rpm which feels like an underpowered engine. In addition, the Automatic option is only available with the Turbo engine.
Now talking about the torkey fun to drive! diesel engine so you have one on offer - the 1.5 ltr U2 CRDI diesel engine, which produces 100 ps/4000rpm.
Now talking about the transmission, you get to choose from three transmission options - Manual, DCT, and IMT. So if you want a jerk-free transmission option you can choose the DCT gearbox and if you want a semi-automatic gearbox you can go with the IMT wherein you will not have to press the clutch. However, keep in mind the DCT gearbox is not the most reliable transmission to choose from as many transmission failure incidents have been registered around the world.
Fuel and Performance
Now Venue comes with both the petrol and the diesel fuel options. The petrol variant of Hyundai Venue has a claimed ARAI mileage of 18.15 in the city and 16.72 kmpl on the highways. However, the diesel engine generates 23.7 kmpl, which I think will be more suitable for mileage-oriented buyers.
Safety
To ensure that you are safe you get 6 airbags in the top trim. However, you get to see dual airbags, ABS, Central locking, Power door locks, child safety locks, DAY & Night rearview mirror, Passenger rearview mirror, Rear seat belts, Seat Belt Warning, Door Ajar Warning, Side Impact Beams, Front Impact Beams, Adjustable Seats, Engine Immobilizer, Crash Sensor, Centrally Mounted Fuel Tank, Engine Check Warning, Automatic Headlamps, EBD, Rear Camera, Anti-Theft Device, Speed Alert, Speed Sensing Auto Door Lock, ISOFIX Child Seat Mounts, Pretensioners & Force Limiter Seatbelts, Impact Sensing Auto Door Unlock.
