Swift is one of the most reliable cars in India. Powered with a 1.2 ltr VVT dual jet engine, produces 89 bhp of power and 113Nm of torque. Swift is in its 3rd gen, with the addition of an AMT gearbox, which is a bit jerky. Maruti has now discontinued its diesel engine which will have an impact on the sales.

Nios is again a brilliant product from Hyundai. Nios can opt with 4 engine options namely the 1.2 ltr kappa petrol engine, 1.2 U2 CRDI diesel, 1.2ltr kappa Dual VTVT petrol bi-fuel, 1.0 ltr turbo GDI. As Hyundai is known for its feature-packed cars, nios is not an exception. However, it gets an AMT gearbox which is better than Swift but is a bit laggy and jerky. It could have been a nice addition if the top variant would have equipped with 4 airbags.
