TATA NEXON #NexLevel

 Tata Nexon #NexLevel

Tata has been launching vehicles that can compete with the German Automakers. The car which made Tata a remarkable brand is the Tata Nexon. Tata Motors is known for its safety and "Nexon" is no exception. "Tata Nexon" has bagged a safety rating of 5 stars in the global NCAP crash test

Tata Nexon is powered by a 1.2 ltr Turbocharged Revtron Petrol engine and the 1.5 ltr 4 cylinder Revotroq Diesel engine capable of producing 120 @5000 and 110 @4000 respectively. The Diesel engine is capable of producing 260Nm of torque at 1500 RPM which is quite impressive, on the other hand, the 1.2 ltr petrol engine produces 170Nm @1750.However, the petrol lacks the fun, which the Hyundai Venue's 1.0ltr Turbo GDI Petrol Engine can fulfill.

Tata Nexon has multiple drive modes - City mode, Economy Mode, and Sports Mode. If you want mileage Nexon has its Economy Mode, if you are battling with heavy traffic it's better to shift on to City mode and sports mode has its own fun.

Nexon competes with - the Suzuki Brezza, Mahindra's XUV 300, KIA's Sonet, Toyota's Urban Cruiser, Hyundai's Venue, Ford Ecosport.

Nexon is priced aggressively starting from 7.19 lakh Ex-showroom - 13.23 lakh Mumbai.

Drive review

Now talking about the driving experience the car feels plush and upmarket. The ride quality is average owing to the body roll. Although it is packed with a 1.2ltr turbocharged engine, unfortunately, the engine is a bit laggy in Eco mode, however, the city and the sports mode feel much better.

If talking about the diesel engine, Nexon behaves like a lion when it's packed with the diesel engine. We need to admit that Nexon will have to improve in order to match the Ecosport. However, the motor revs till redline. In spite of the traction control, there is a lot of wheel spin on offer.

Conclusion

If we summarise, we must say that Nexon is a wonderful product from Tata Motors. If you want to get a Nexon for your family, I would suggest getting a diesel one, because the petrol engine is laggy. Moreover, with the ''AMT' gearbox, it will make you feel as if you are driving an underpowered car
